We are excited to have collaborated with the remarkable College of Veterinary Medicine leadership at Midwestern University to present the 2020-2021 AZPetVet Midwestern University Leadership Awards to eight hardworking, dedicated students. The awards included four $600 awards for two freshmen and two sophomores as well as four $1400 awards for two juniors and two seniors.
All CVM students in good academic standing were eligible and had to submit a short essay for consideration. A committee of MWU faculty members reviewed the submissions, and chose the eight students to receive the awards based on collaboration, compassion, and curiosity/creativity. The recipients joined us for a tour of our AZPetVet Arrow Animal Hospital after being presented their awards.
Midwestern University is an important part of our local community, and their quality of education is top-notch; not to mention they have an incredible faculty and staff that work tirelessly to ensure the students have the knowledge and foundational skill set needed for a successful career in veterinary medicine. We are proud to have had several Midwestern graduates join our AZPetVet family each year since their first graduating class in 2018!
